Gary Gilmore has spent the bulk of his adult life inside a college baseball dugout. Whether it was six seasons on the bench at USC-Aiken or 29 years leading his alma mater at Coastal Carolina, Gilmore lived for balls, strikes, and home runs. So, what now?

“I drew every inch of that stadium when we built it; I didn’t draw a place where I could sit when I retired,” Gilmore joked. “I have not been to a game, haven’t been to a practice.”

Gilmore dropped by SportsTalk on Wednesday to update us on his health, retirement, and to give a bird’s-eye view of Chanticleer baseball.
