STRecruiting Notebook 5-12: South Carolina finalists for two defensive targets; More offers go out over weekend

DT Brian Harris of Jacksonville set May 23rd for his commitment date, and he told Rivals he is down to South Carolina, Penn State, Oklahoma, Michigan and Alabama. Harris plans to make his announcement following his spring game that night. Harris said Sunday night he will only take an official visit to the school he chooses. He had previously set visits with all four of the finalists. Harris visited USC in January as well as for the spring game in April.

DE Carter Meadows set an official visit to South Carolina for May 30th. Following that trip will be stops at Penn State, Ohio State and Michigan. Those are his final four schools. Meadows also visited USC on April 17th.

South Carolina offered DT Wihtlley Cadeau (6-5 290) of Atlanta. He also has offers from Georgia Tech, Florida, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Purdue, Georgia, Connecticut and Cincinnati. He has set an official visit to Georgia Tech for June 6th.

South Carolina offered DT Dominic Harris (6-8 325) of Las Vegas. Clemson was one of his earlier offers. He was scheduled to visit Utah over the weekend. He also has visits planned with Auburn for this coming weekend and Washington on May 30th.

South Carolina offered 2027 DT Donivan Moore (6-4 260) of Hueytown, AL. Some other offers include Maryland, Arkansas, LSU, Texas, Ohio State, West Virginia, Southern Cal, Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Missouri, Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama and Florida State.

South Carolina offered 2027 OT Carter Jones (6-6 290) of Poquoson, VA. He visited USC and Clemson earlier in the spring. He also has offers from Kentucky, Auburn, North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, Virginia, Penn State, Rutgers, Maryland and Mississippi State.

South Carolina also offered 2027 DE James Pace (6-4 235) of Hyattsville, MD. His offer list also includes Oregon, Auburn, Rutgers, Tennessee, Alabama, Indiana, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Pitt, Syracuse, Maryland, Penn State and Florida.

South Carolina offered 2027 SAF Omarii Sanders (6-4 205) of Nashville. He also has offers from Purdue, Indiana, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Wisconsin, SMU, Oregon, Texas, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Missouri, Florida State, Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Georgia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Duke, Louisville and Miami.

Clemson target WR Craig Dandridge has added official visits to Georgia Tech June 6th, Tennessee June 13th and Georgia June 20th according to Dawgs247. He earlier set Stanford for May 16th and Clemson for May 30th.

Clemson target LB Tyler Atkinson met with Ohio State coaches on Friday.

Clemson target DE JR Hardrick was offered by Mississippi State and Kentucky.

Georgia OC Mike Bobo visited Clemson target RB Jae Lamar of Moultrie, GA. He is scheduled for an official to Clemson May 30th.

Clemson target WR Cederian Morgan visited Colorado over the weekend. He is scheduled to visit Georgia this weekend. Clemson is May 30th followed by Florida, Auburn and Alabama.

Clemson target DE JR Hardrick picked up offers from Wake Forest and Virginia.

South Carolina commitment CB J’Zavien Currence was offered by Texas.

South Carolina target SAF Jowell Combay of Marietta, GA plans to visit Georgia on Saturday.

Dutch Fork DE Julian Walker will take an official visit to NC State on June 6th. He is also a South Carolina target and has visited there several times as his dad is a member of the strength staff. North Carolina is also expected to get an official visit.

Orangeburg Prep TE Tilden Riley was offered by Rutgers on Sunday. He has official visits set with Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Vanderbilt and FAU. He also has an offer from USC and others.

Piedmont native QB Mason Holtzclaw, who reclassified to 2026 and is now in Carrollton, GA, has set official visits to ECU June 12th and Charlotte June 20th. South Carolina offered him last July when Dowell Loggains was QB coach.

2028 center Brody Lorenzo (6-3 300) of Dutch Fork was offered by Cincinnati, his first offer. This spring he made visits to South Carolina, North Carolina and Clemson.

Clemson offered 2027 6-6 Kmajay Jenkins of Atlanta. He also has an offer from Oklahoma State.

South Carolina is among the offers for 6-1 Isaac Ellis of Moravian Prep in North Carolina. His brother Eli has signed with the Gamecocks for this year’s class. Some of his other offers include Oklahoma State, UMass, High Point, Radford, Eastern Kentucky and Appalachian State.

Upstate transfer guard Mister Dean committed to the College of Charleston. He was the Big South Freshman of the Year after averaging 16 points and 6 rebounds per game.
