South Carolina women’s basketball junior Ashlyn Watkins suffered a torn ACL during the Jan. 5 game at Mississippi State and will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season. Her surgery will be scheduled in the coming weeks.

Watkins’ season closes with her ranked fourth in the SEC with 1.86 blocks per game. She was second on the team in rebounding (6.4 rpg) and averaged 7.2 points through 14 games.

No. 2/2 South Carolina is back in action this week with a pair of home SEC games beginning on Thu., Jan. 9, against Texas A&M. Tipoff at Colonial Life Arena is set for 5 p.m.
