Cade Klubnik threw for over 3,600 yards with 36 TDs this season for the Tigers

“The story isn’t over. See y’all in 2025.” With those eight words, Clemson’s football fortunes for next season improved greatly. On Monday, Tigers quarterback Cade Klubnik announced on X, formerly Twitter, that he is returning for another season.

Klubnik finished his junior campaign with 3,639 passing yards and 36 touchdown passes, which was tied for the national lead when Clemson’s season ended. That included 336 passing yards and three scores in the Tigers’ first-round playoff loss to Texas.

The Austin, Texas, native improved his numbers from his first full season as a starter in 2023, where he threw for 2,844 yards and 19 touchdowns to nine interceptions over 13 games. He has 7,180 passing yards with 57 TDs to 18 picks over 37 career college games.

Klubnik was one of several Tigers Monday who signed their NIL contract for the 2025 season.  The others included offensive linemen Collin Sadler, Elyjah Thurmon, Ryan Linthicum, and Walker Parks, receivers TJ Moore and Bryant Wesco, tight end Olsen Patt-Henry, linebacker Sammy Brown and cornerback Ashton Hampton.

Defensive stars T.J. Parker, Peter Woods, and Wade Woodaz had already confirmed their plans to return next season.
