SAF Tae Harris of Cedartown, GA, one of the early members of the Clemson 2025 football recruiting class, announced Saturday morning he is now committed to Georgia Tech. Harris had been committed to Clemson since March 18th.
Harris attended the NC State at Georgia Tech game Thursday night, a direct violation of a strict recruiting police Clemson coach Dabo Swinney issues to each commitment.
Harris camped at Clemson last summer and returned for a junior day in March. Soon after, he announced his commitment choosing the Tigers over offers from Tech, Georgia, Southern Cal, Oklahoma, Florida, LSU, Ole Miss and others. At the time, he said he felt the Clemson culture was right for him.
“They recruit players with great character, and they do things the right way,” Harris said. “Coach Swinney graduates his players at 99 percent – like 400 out of 405 – and still want to win. You can play football but also get a great education and build around that.”
Harris is the fifth defection from the 2025 recruiting class for Clemson and leaves the Tigers with 13 commitments.
“Clemson recruits players with great character”. This guy needs to watch the movie MoneyBall. Clemson.was sure wrong about his character.
