#STRecruiting: OL Desmond Green was back at Georgia Saturday. What did he think about it?

Many of the state’s top prospects were at South Carolina Saturday for the Missouri game. But Georgia had a huge home game as well against Tennessee, and that game also attracted top prospects, including Timberland OG Desmond Green.

“It was my second night game in Athens and it was crazy,” Green said.  “Big SEC matchup.  The environment was live, stadium was jumping.  That was from everywhere, too.  I didn’t just stay in the student section, I got to walk around a little bit and see how it felt for everyone else.  It was a crazy place.  I loved it.”

Georgia coach Kirby Smart can certainly look an offensive line prospect in the eye and talk honestly about the success his program has had in getting linemen to the next level. Green has heard that message from the Bulldogs.

“They tell me it’s a great place to get developed as a man and as a football player on and off the field, and they can help me reach my dreams of getting to the NFL,” Green said. “I like them and feel good about them but keeping my options open right now.”

Green has been busy checking out suitors this season. Besides visits to USC, Georgia and Clemson, he has been to games at Virginia Tech, Tennessee, NC State, Alabama and North Carolina.

As for what’s ahead, Green is unsure about a game visit for this weekend. He could be back at USC, Clemson or Georgia. He does know for sure he will be at Clemson for the USC game November 30th.
