#Clemson moves up one spot to ninth in the new Associated Press Top 25 released Sunday

Voters in the AP Top 25 poll this week gave Clemson a little push in the ranking voting the Tigers 9th following their win over Virginia. That’s an improvement for Clemson of one spot over last week. The Tigers received enough votes to total 984 points, four more than last week.

Three voters had the Tigers ranked as high as number six. National analysts Adam Zucker and Rece Davis ranked Clemon 7th on their ballots while another national voter, Brett McMurphy, ranked them eighth.

Pete Yanity of WSPA-TV., South Carolina’s lone AP voter, ranked Clemson ninth.

Oregon ascended to the top of the Top 25 following a 35-0 win over Purdue while previous ;number one Texas dropped to fifth following the loss to Georgia. The Bulldogs moved up three positions to number two and are followed by Penn State and Ohio State. The rest of the top ten are Miami, Tennessee, LSU, Clemson and Iowa State.
