#STRecruiting: #Clemson lands a commitment from 6-3 guard Zac Foster of Atlanta for the 2025 class

Zac Foster

6-3 Zac Foster of Atlanta Thursday announced a commitment to Clemson over Virginia Tech. He also had West Virginia strongly in the mix. He also had offers from Cincinnati, USF and Mississippi State.

Foster made his official visit to Clemson on the weekend of September 6th. He made his official visit to Virginia Tech the weekend prior to that.

Foster had a very good spring and summer season and saw his stock rise after that. He said the decision process for him was difficult and he didn’t decide on the Tigers until Wednesday.

“The coaching staff, they are just heavily invested in me,” Foster said after making his announcement on the 247Sport YouTube Channel. “Coach Brownell told me step by step the plan for me when I get there. He just said when I step on campus how he’s going to make me bigger and stronger and all the things I need to develop. He said he’s going to be in the gym with me. All the things I need. The teammates are great. The atmosphere. It just gave me that homey vibe. It just aligned with everything I want to do in college. It’s just a perfect fit for me.”

Foster added that Clemson fans will see a player who won’t back down and will be ready to be a leader when he arrives on campus.

“A competitive spirit and a winning spirit and come in there ready to compete,” Foster said. “Try to win and get back to that Elite Eight.”

Foster is the second commitment for the Tigers’ 2025 class joining 6-9 Trent Steinour.
