Furman once again is king of the hill in the Southern Conference. The Paladins won their 15th SOCON Championship last season and reached the third round of the FCS Playoffs.
Clay Hendrix is going into his eighth season as the head coach at his alma mater and has a 51-29 record. But this year’s team will be minus 17 of 24 starters from last season, including quarterback Tyler Huff.
So, there’s a bit of reloading to be done during pre-season practice in the shadow of Paris Mountain, but the Paladins are confident they will be right back at the top of the conference race again this season which opens August 31st at Ole Miss.
