South Carolina Wednesday missed on a big piece for their offensive line when OT KaMarii Landers (6-5 300) of Copiah-Lincoln JC, MS committed to Baylor. USC was one of several schools to offer Landers this week once he became eligible. Baylor, Houston and Utah State joined the Gamecocks in offering on Tuesday. Arkansas had offered a couple of days earlier. Landers is a native of Detroit who began his career in 2022 at Akron. He played one season at the junior college and will have three years of eligibility remaining. Landers was available this late in the summer because he just completed his academic work. He accumulated 23 credit hours and that pushed him over the top from a qualifying standpoint.
The 2025 recruiting class for South Carolina took a hit Wednesday when LB Jaiden Braker (6-4 214) of Snellville, GA announced he is now committed to LSU. Braker made a visit to Baton Rouge last weekend and was offered by the Tigers. Soon after, analysts began projecting his flip to the Tigers. Baker was in the USC fold for less than a month. He committed on July 6th following June official visits to USC, Rutgers, Utah, Kentucky and NC State. His first decision came down to the Gamecocks and Wolfpack. Braker’s defection drops the Gamecocks back to 18 commits for the class which now includes three linebackers.
2026 LB Keenan Britt of Oxford, AL was scheduled to visit USC Wednesday. He was at Oregon over the weekend. Riverside WR Mikkell Skinner visited the Gamecocks on Tuesday.
2026 LB Anthony Davis of Loganville, GA was offered by Clemson Tuesday while on a visit. He will visit Auburn today.
One-time Clemson target SAF Anquon Fegans of Alabaster, AL committed to Auburn earlier in the week.
Hammond TE Mike Tyler told Lou Bezjak of The State he has a final three of Duke, LSU and West Virginia and plans a decision in August, possibly on his birthday, August 18th. Tyler visited LSU last weekend. That was his third visit to Baton Rouge this summer including an official visit June 21st.
Camden DB Jordan Crim was offered by Mississippi State. That’s his second SEC offer joining Vanderbilt.
WR Jackson Repp of Christ Church was offered by Buffalo.
Former Dillon 2026 QB Josiah Oxendine has transferred to Forest Hills High School in Marshville, NC.
The USC women are in the top 11 with 6-0 Jaida Civil of Vero Beach, FL. The others are Tennessee, UCF, Florida State, Alabama, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Florida, Mississippi State, Cincinnati and Miami.
