Clemson Wednesday gained a public commitment from DE Ari Watford (6-6 235) of Norfolk VA. Recruiting analysts have tabbed Watford as the #1 prospect in Virginia for the 2025 class and the #1 edge rusher in the country.
Watford plans to visit Clemson this Saturday for their junior day. He also visited last April and was back for a session of the Dabo Swinney camp last June.
Watford had previously listed a top six of Clemson, USC, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Penn State and Syracuse.
Watford gives Clemson eight commitments for the 2025 class.
