Funeral services for Art Baker will be held Wednesday afternoon in his hometown of Sumter. Baker died earlier this week at the age of 94. Baker was one of the state’s most revered football coaches given his dedication to the sport through his high school and college stops. Those included head coaching tenures at Furman and The Citadel and assistant roles at Clemson and USC.
Ellis Johnson, who worked two stints as an assistant under Baker, joined us on SportsTalk Monday night to share his thoughts on his former mentor and close friend.
