Clemson and South Carolina have positioned themselves to be major players with DE Isaiah Gibson (6-5 250) of Warner Robins, GA. He talked earlier this week with Chris Rumph of Clemson and Sterling Lucas of USC and said he hears from both a lot.
He has not set any visits with them, but he plans to when he can work them in around his basketball schedule. If he can get to the campuses in January or February, he will; if not, he’ll make his visits later in the spring.
Gibson has set a visit to Florida for this Monday and one to Georgia on February 13th.
One advantage for Clemson related to Gibson is his former teammate Vic Burley is a freshman defensive lineman for the Tigers. He visited Clemson for the Notre Dame game and head coach Dabo Swinney offered him while standing on the paw at midfield during pre-game warmups.
