Fernandina Beach, FL: Christmas Day brought some holiday cheer for the Clemson football team in terms of food, gifts and practice. The Tigers had a holiday brunch followed by a gift exchange. Then came practice.
The Tigers were forced to leave their practice site at Fernandina Beach High School due to the weather and go inside at the Jacksonville Jaguars former practice facility adjacent to EverBank Stadium.
Former Clemson offensive lineman and current Jacksonville Jaguar Tyler Shatley attended the practice and spoke to the team prior to the session.
The Tigers should be able to practice outside on Tuesday. Temperature is projected to top off at 74 degrees with a cloudy sky, and there’s a 27% chance of rain. The outside media will have their first access to the Tigers at Fernandina Beach on Wednesday when new defensive ends coach Chris Rumph is scheduled for a post-practice session.
After practice Monday, Clemson sports information director Ross Taylor spoke with offensive coordinator Garrett Riley and defensive coordinator Wes Goodwin and provided those interviews to the media.
