
South Carolina continued its dominant play, Tuesday, running away from Bowling Green 93-62 for its 11th straight win to open the season. Chloe Kitts led four Gamecocks in double figures with 21 points on 10 of 12 shooting.
USC took control early, taking a double-digit lead into the second quarter, and were never threatened. The top-ranked Gamecocks were efficient across the board, shooting 59% from the floor, 56% from the 3-point line and 77% from the foul line.
Bree Hall (18 points), Te-Hina Paopao (12 points) and Kamilla Cardoso (11 points) joined Kitts in double figures. Hall and Paopao did their damage from the perimeter, combining to hit 8 of 12 from behind the arc. Paopao, who also had a team-high six assists, has made 51% (24 of 47) of her 3-pointers on the season.
South Carolina will have an extended layoff for the holidays before paying a visit to East Carolina. Tipoff from Greenville, NC, is scheduled for noon on Dec. 30th.
