One-half of the Clemson dynamic duo at linebacker, Jeremiah Trotter Jr., announced on his Instagram Tuesday afternoon that he is declaring for the NFL Draft and ending his college career. Trotter will not be with the Tigers when they play their bowl game next month.
Trotter, the son of a former NFL star, played three seasons at Clemson and appeared in 31 games. He totaled 192 tackles with 29.5 for loss and 13 sacks. He also had four interceptions, ten pass deflections, forced three fumbles and scored a pair of touchdowns.
Trotter and Barrett Carter teamed to give the Tigers one of the top linebacker combinations in the country. Carter is also expected to leave Clemson for the NFL.
