WR Juice Wells declares for another season with the #Gamecocks

One of the most talked about members of the USC football team is a player who has played the least among those expected to be major contributors this season. Wide receiver Juice Wells dealt with a foot injury throughout pre-season camp, and he’s only played in three games this season.

His last play was a touchdown catch against Georgia on the opening drive. He aggravated his foot injury and hasn’t played since. He has seen a foot specialist in Charlotte, and he’s been practicing to some degree according to Shane Beamer.

Each week Beamer has had to answer a question about Wells status, and he’s responded by saying it’s week to week, and he wasn’t trying to hide anything from anybody. He said if Wells were truly done for the season, he would announce that.

Monday night, Wells took to X (formerly Twitter) to make his own announcement.

In three games this season, Wells caught three passes for 37 yards and the one touchdown. In 2022 he caught 68 passes for 928 yards and six touchdowns.
