The Clemson running backs should be salivating at the opportunity that lies in front of them this weekend. Georgia Tech rolls into town Saturday boasting the second worst rush defense in the country, and Clemson is coming off a 176-yard rushing performance in their victory over Notre Dame. The bulk of the load was carried by Phil Mafah, who was the featured back due to an injury to Will Shipley.
On Wednesday night, head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media to update practice and, most importantly, the injury report for the Tigers. That included a peek into the condition of Shipley, who Swinney says is “trending in a good direction.” He also touched on the offensive line rotation as part of his media availability.
