Faurot Field, Columbia, MO: The USC defense was the complaint of the week among Gamecock fans following the loss to Florida. The offense, that’s what gave the fans some hope going into Saturday’s game at 20th ranked Missouri. But after failing to score a touchdown in the 34-12 loss to the Tigers, add the offense to the list of worries along with the defense, special teams and injuries.

The Gamecocks had only 73 first half yards and trailed 24-3 at halftime. To their credit, they were better in the second half as Shane Beamer and Spencer Rattler pointed out afterwards that the leadership in the locker room at halftime was impressive. But it wasn’t enough as the Gamecocks dropped their fifth in a row to the Tigers and fall to 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the SEC.
