Coastal Carolina head coach Tim Beck did not inherit the easiest schedule to start his first season with the Chanticleers. His team opened the season with a cross-country trip to UCLA, which Beck admits cost them a day off due to travel as they prepared for the following week’s matchup with Jacksonville State. The Chanticleers have also dealt with a Thursday night game and will face the oddity of a Tuesday night encounter at Appalachian State next week.
“I don’t know if you could put a brand-new head coach and a brand-new staff in a harder, more difficult (situation),” Beck explained on Wednesday. “I’m not used to it. It is different for me.”
During his weekly press conference, Beck recapped what went wrong in Saturday’s 38-28 setback at Georgia Southern and started looking ahead to the massive game in Boone next week. One he believes may not be suitable for younger viewers.
“”I should call ESPN and tell them they need to put one of those warnings before the game because it’s going to be such a violent game,” Beck warned. “Nobody under 17 should watch it.”
