Furman football is back in the national conscience. After making the second round of the FCS Playoffs last season, Clay Hendrix’s team is ranked 6th in the pre-season poll and is the favorite to win the Southern Conference Championship for the first time since 2018.
The Paladins return 20 starters for the 24 starting positions on the team, including quarterback Tyler Huff who completed 68% of his passes for 2200 yards and 15 touchdowns. Also back is last year’s leading rusher Dominic Roberts who gained 1120 yards and scored 11 touchdowns.
The Paladins will open their season at home August 31st against Tennessee Tech, then they will play at South Carolina in week two.
