With a single tweet Monday night, USC’s offseason improved considerably. Antwane “Juice” Wells, the junior wide receiver from Richmond, VA, announced on Monday night that he would “run it back” for the 2023 season with the Gamecocks.
Wells led USC in receiving this past season, catching 68 passes for 928 yards with six touchdowns. And perhaps recorded the biggest five-yard catch of the year at Clemson.
With Carolina leading 31-30 late in the fourth quarter, Wells picked up a first down on 3rd and 4 to allow USC to run out the clock and finish off the Tigers. For the game, he hauled in nine catches for 131 yards, including touchdowns of 4 and 72 yards.
With Wells returning, Gamecock fans now turn their attention to QB Spencer Rattler who has yet to announce his plans for 2023.
