The remnants of Hurricane Ian are forecasted to bring high winds and heavy rains to the SC coast on Friday into Saturday, and because of that threat, Coastal Carolina’s home football game with Georgia Southern will now kickoff at 7pm on Saturday, as opposed to the original 4pm start time. According to CCU, “in the interest of caution and safety regarding team travel, both universities and the Sun Belt Conference have agreed to move the kick-off time of the game back to 7pm.”
CCU enters the contest at 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the Sun Belt following a 41-24 win at Georgia State last Thursday. Meantime, the Eagles, who upset Nebraska earlier this month, are 3-1 on the season as they prepare for their SBC opener against the Chanticleers.
