The question was inevitable, but it’s still something with which Jamey Chadwell hasn’t spent much time concerning himself as he prepares Coastal Carolina for Saturday’s home game with the University at Buffalo. So, are you a candidate for the opening at Nebraska?
Chadwell addressed the media on Wednesday during his weekly press conference and was asked about former CCU head coach Joe Moglia mentioning on social media that he would ‘absolutely get the job done at Nebraska.’ “That’s all speculation. First of all, we’re two games in and even if they were interested and they watched our game last week, they would be disinterested after that one,” Chadwell stated in trying to distance himself from the rumors. “I’ve not put any thought into it. We’ve not one time talked about that job. Everything when we talk is all about what can we do to make this place the best.”
The Chanticleers’ head coach spent the bulk of his presser looking ahead to Saturday’s 1pm kickoff with Buffalo, a team CCU defeated 28-25 last season in Upstate New York. He also discussed the challenges his team is facing this week due to several players being sick and what things he hoped his squad learned from last weekend’s narrow victory over Gardner-Webb.
