


Auburn Friday night dispensed a pair of offers to offensive tackles with strong USC ties, commitment Isaiah Jatta and official visitor Elijah Philippe. Asked Friday night if the Auburn offer had any impact on his commitment, Jatta responded, “Not at all. Nothing to worry about. Just posting success.”
Philippe took an official visit to USC in June and is very strong on the Gamecocks. However, his recruiting gameplan was to go thru his season at Lackawanna JC, PA and see what other offers he might generate, so he remains very much in play for other programs.
USC remains in regular contact with Tennessee commitment DE Tyree Weathersby of Douglasville, GA. He has visited USC unofficially and has not decided if he will take any more visits this fall due to his committed status. He’s also hearing from Mississippi State, Georgia and Florida State. His only official visit thus far was to Tennessee in June.
DE Kelby Collins of Gardendale, AL announced a commitment to Florida Saturday. He chose the Gators over Alabama. USC was one of the other schools on his short list and he took an official visit with the Gamecocks in June.
USC target WR Ayden Williams of Ridgeland, MS has set August 21st for his commitment announcement. He took an official to USC in June. He’s also had Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU and Jackson State on his short list.
USC offered 2024 TE Christian Bentancur (6-5 240) of Woodstock, IL. Clemson is among his other offers
NC State offered Byrnes LB Miquel Dingle who is currently committed to Texas Tech. He’s the son of former USC RB Mike Dingle.
Gaffney LB Brayshawn Littlejohn (6-2 220) committed to Missouri Saturday.
Hartsville RB Jshawn Anderson committed to Georgia Southern.
2024 OT Josiah Thompson of Dillon was offered by Florida.
USC and Clemson target 2024 DT Hevin Brown-Shuler of Atlanta plans to announce a short list in the near future according to a tweet he posted Friday.
Former USC outfielder Brandon Fields is transferring to Texas. He left the Gamecocks after the 2021 season and played last season in junior college in Florida.
USC is in final four with 6-6 Aalyah Del Rosario of New York. She attends the Webb School in Nashville. The others on her short list are Tennessee, LSU and North Carolina.
