One of the state’s top 2023 prospects, OT Markee Anderson of Dorman, took another step forward in his recruiting Saturday when he named his top four. Making the short list were Clemson, USC, North Carolina and LSU. Among Anderson’s other offers were Auburn, Washington, West Virginia, Arkansas, Viginia Tech and Florida State.
Anderson visited USC, Clemson and North Carolina in the spring. He’s been to both in-state prospects multiple times. USC, in fact, was his first official offer.
About the Gamecocks, Anderson has said, “I’m treated great down there. It’s a very supportive group down there. Family friendly down there.” As for the Tigers, Anderson has said, “Great school, great facilities, overall great program academically. It’s a pretty close bond with them I feel.”
Clemson offensive line coach Thomas Austin and USC offensive line coach Greg Adkins are handling most of the one-on-one recruiting of Anderson for their respective programs.
