The USC men’s basketball team will participate in the Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic this coming November. The Gamecocks announced their inclusion via social media on Tuesday.
ESPN Events, which operates the tournament, has invited eight teams to participate in the event at TD Arena in downtown Charleston. The host school, the College of Charleston will join USC, Colorado State, Davidson, Furman, Old Dominion, Penn State, and Virginia Tech. The annual men’s college basketball tournament will be played November 17, 18 and 20th.
The Shriners Children’s Hospital Classic is in its 14th year with past champions including Florida (2019), Villanova (2016), and Virginia (2015). Information on travel packages, tickets and more is available at the Charleston Classic website. Tickets will be available for purchase following the announcement of the complete tournament schedule later this summer, according to USC.
