For thirteen minutes, things were quite rosy for the Clemson men’s basketball team. The Tigers roared out of the starting blocks to lead by as much as 23 with 7:11 left to play in the opening half of their game with Boston College on Saturday. However, the quick start turned out to be fool’s gold, as the Eagles rallied back to within seven at halftime and ultimately upset the Tigers 70-68 at Littlejohn Coliseum.
On Monday, Clemson men’s basketball coach Brad Brownell jumped on board the ACC media Zoom call to try and recap Saturday’s loss while looking ahead to a matchup at Syracuse on Tuesday. The Orange are 8-9 overall and 2-4 in the league after dropping a 76-71 decision to Florida State on Saturday. Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim’s sons, Buddy and Jimmy, lead the way for the Orange averaging 19 and 14 points per game respectively. The contest tips off at 9pm on the ACC Network.
