Harris makes Mayo Bowl his final appearance in a #Gamecocks uniform

USC junior running back Kevin Harris opted not to opt out of Thursday’s Duke Mayo Bowl in Charlotte, and he made the most of the day rushing for 182 yards and a touchdown on 31 carries. His performance certainly had to impress NFL scouts looking on, and now Harris will focus totally on getting ready for the NFL.

A couple of hours after helping the Gamecocks upset North Carolina, Harris tweeted his announcement that he will forgo a final season of eligibility with the Gamecocks and enter the 2022 NFL Draft.

Harris leaves USC after rushing for 1976 yards and 23 touchdowns. He is 18th on the all-time USC rushing list and tied with Cory Boyd for 7th on the all-time rushing touchdown list.

Harris’ decision means the Gamecocks are losing their top two rushers to the NFL. Shortly after the end of the regular season, ZaQuandre White announced he was giving up his final season to enter the draft, and he also opted out of the bowl game.
