USC will be without their leading rusher for the bowl game against North Carolina. ZaQuandre White announced Tuesday night he is ending his college career to focus full time on preparation for the NFL Draft. White transferred to USC from junior college prior to the 2020 season. He burst on the scene as a running back this season and rushed for 583 yards (6.6 average) and 2 touchdowns, despite going three games without a carry.
The Gamecocks are still deep at running back for the bowl game despite White’s departure. Kevin Harris, Marshawn Lloyd and Juju McDowell were all part of the running back rotation in the regular season.
I am fine with players leaving and not fulfilling their obligation as long as they pay back 1/13 of their scholarship this year.
