#STRecruiting Notebook 11-30

The mother of Dutch Fork WR Antonio Williams said Monday they are expecting to have in home visits this week with Clemson and Auburn. Williams took an official to Auburn last weekend. He’s also taken officials to USC and Ole Miss, and an unofficial visit to Clemson. Georgia also is in the running. Clemson would like to get Williams back to campus for an official visit, but his football schedule could be an issue. He will play in the 5A State Championship Game Saturday night in Columbia. The following Saturday he will play in the Touchstone Energy Bowl North-South Game in Myrtle Beach.

RB Trevor Etienne of Jennings, LA announced Monday he is down to Clemson, LSU and Florida. He told Rivals he has set January 8th for his commitment announcement at the All-American Game.  He took an unofficial visit to Florida last Saturday and is scheduled for an official visit to Clemson December 10th. Paul Strelow of TigerIllustrated reported Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney and assistants CJ Spiller and Tony Elliott made their in-home visit with Etienne Monday night.

USC reportedly has interest in Ohio State transfer quarterback Jack Miller (6-3 215). The Silver Bulletin, an Ohio State focused blog, said the Gamecocks had made contact with Miller along with Arizona, Arizona State, Florida State and Wisconsin. Miller is a redshirt freshman from Scottsdale, AZ. This season he completed 7-14 passes for 101 yards and no touchdowns. He was recruited by then USC assistant Dan Werner and had visited in April of 2018.

USC target LB Stone Blanton of Madison, MS had his in-home visit Monday night with Mississippi State. He was at USC Saturday.

USC target 2023 RB Daylan Smothers of Charlotte was offered by Ohio State. He has a Gamecock offer and has visited twice.

2023 DT Stephiylan Green of Rome, GA visited USC Saturday.

2023 RB Jaylen Johnson of Baxley, GA is visiting USC today.

2024 TE Luca Puccinelli (6-5 200) of Richmond visited USC Saturday.

Northwestern QB Will Mattison committed to Gardner-Webb.

2023 WR Apollos Cook of River Bluff was offered by Marshall. He visited ECU Saturday.

2023 QB Aliam Appler of Dutch Fork is visiting Duke today.

Ridge View OT Tray Franklin picked up a PWO offer from USC

Former Westside DB Lummie Young is leaving Duke as a grad transfer.
