WR Dane Key of Lexington, KY plans to visit USC Saturday for the Kentucky game. He made an official visit to USC during the summer and has continued to hold the Gamecocks in high regard. Of course, Kentucky is also heavily in the mix as he lives just a few miles from campus, and his father played there. But the Gamecocks also have a connection in that his brother played at Western Kentucky and was coached by current USC defensive coordinator Clayton White. Key also made summer official visits to Oregon and Kentucky. He has also had Virginia, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Virginia Tech and Purdue on his short list. Last season Key had 30 catches for 478 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Broady transferred to Chambers High from Richmond County in Rockingham in hopes of garnering major college recruiting attention. He camped at USC in the 10th grade, and Ingram mentioned him again to Shane Beamer and he followed up with the visit invite. One of Broady’s teammate, 2023 RB Daylan Smothers, has a USC offer and will join him on the trip. Another teammate, DE James Pearce, is a top USC target for the 2022 class. Broady said he’s been talking with Pearce about coming with him as well Saturday, but he’s not yet decided. Broady calls USC his dream school and he hopes to impress the Gamecocks with his play this season.

He said they’ve told his coach they like his get-off, the way he plays fast and runs to the ball. He had 7 sacks last season and 3 in 3 games this season. He has not yet been offered. He is also going to go to games this season at Wake Forest, Charlotte, North Carolina and Coastal Carolina.
