Sumter DE Davin Jackson will visit USC Wednesday afternoon. He was at NC State Sunday. He will have ACL surgery Thursday and will announce a commitment Sunday night around 8:00 PM. The Wolfpack and USC have been two high up on his list. Jackson camped at USC and Clemson in June, and it was after his camp performance in Columbia that he landed the offer from the Gamecocks. It was at the Clemson camp where he suffered the torn ACL. He has taken official visits to Syracuse and Coastal Carolina, and he took an unofficial visit to Charlotte.
Mauldin CB Jeadyn Lukus has set Wednesday for his commitment with Clemson and North Carolina his top two. Lukus was at Clemson Sunday for the cookout with other prospects. He also visited Clemson in June and took an official visit to North Carolina last month.
TE Jaleel Skinner of Greer has enrolled at IMG Academy in Florida per 247Sports. Skinner has had a top five of Clemson, Alabama, Texas, Florida State and Miami. He camped at Clemson in June and took official visits to Alabama, Texas and Miami in June. He is scheduled to take an official visit to Florida State September 5th.
Greenville High TE Josh Sapp (6-3 235) was one of the invited prospects at the Clemson cookout on Sunday. The son of Clemson former Clemson quarterback Patrick Sapp has not yet been offered by the Tigers, but he remains on their board as they continue to recruit Oscar Delp as their top tight end target. Sapp said Sunday’s visit consisted of a meal with the players and coaches, and a lot of fun and games. There also was some conversation with tight ends coach Tony Elliott. “We didn’t get deep into it today (Sunday). I feel pretty good (about things with Clemson).” Sapp said he’s been considering going to Georgia State later this week for a cookout, but he’s not sure he can make it due to upcoming football practices. This fall Sapp said he’ll go to Clemson for a game and possibly one to Georgia State. He has taken an official visit to Coastal Carolina. He also has offers from Appalachian State, Charlotte, East Carolina, Florida A&M, Elon, Tulane and Middle Tennessee State. In June he camped at Clemson, USC and Florida State.
