June was quite the recruiting month for the new staff at USC. Overcoming the stigma of a 2-8 season and a coaching change, Shane Beamer and staff have been one of the most productive groups in the country. Eleven new pledges have come in during the month, three of which remain private thru Tuesday night. One of those was expected to go public Tuesday night but that did not happen, but it could happen on Wednesday. Counting the public and private commitments, and adding two transfers who count with the class, the Gamecocks have 16 of their 25 spots filled for 2022.
Tuesday night on SportsTalk, USC Director of Player Personnel Taylor Edwards joined us to review the Gamecocks recruiting effort thus far. And he also jumped into the conversation about NIL rights which will become part of the college landscape starting Thursday.
