Former Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who passed for over 10,000 yards with 90 touchdowns and a career 66.6 completion percentage, is projected by all as the #1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. As such, college numbers and video aren’t enough to satisfy the need to see more by NFL coaches and personnel types. So, Lawrence displayed his skills one more time Friday morning at Clemson’s indoor facility.
The most important pair of eyes on him belonged to Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer. His team owns that first pick and there’s no doubt Meyer wants to begin his latest coaching era with the blonde-bomber under center.
The workout was televised live via the ACC Network, ESPN2 and the NFL Network. No other media were allowed inside and Lawrence’s only interview was with the TV outlets. Lawrence held a solo workout now because he has surgery coming up on his left shoulder, and that will prevent him from participating in Clemson’s pro day March 11th.
The ACC Network provided video of the workout and an interview with Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney. Also, Clemson provided photos of the workout taken by David Platt of Clemson Athletics.
