The USC women’s basketball team commenced pre-season camp Wednesday with an eye on the title many thought the Gamecocks would win last season before the NCAA Tournament was cancelled due to Covid-19. Before that happened, the Gamecocks won 32 of 33 games including the SEC Tournament, and finished the season on a 26 game winning streak. They are expected to be ranked #1 in the pre-season polls and are a strong favorite to win a second national championship under Dawn Staley. This week Staley met with the media via Zoom to talk about this year’s team as they embarked on training camp.
