#STRecruiting Notebook 7-3 (Afternoon Update)

Marion DE TJ Sanders took that next public step toward a commitment Thursday night by releasing his top four schools of USC. NC State, Vanderbilt and West Virginia as that quartet. Sanders tweeted that while his “recruitment is still 100% open to all other schools that have reached out to me and/or offered me,” he’s going to concentrate on the other four for now. Sanders also is ready to make a commitment and confirmed Friday afternoon that his announcement will come Saturday at a time to be determined.

USC target WR Keon Coleman of Opelousas, LA plans to announce his decision Saturday at 8:00 PM. He’s got USC, Kansas and Oklahoma as his final three.

Clemson target DT Payton Page of Greensboro, NC will announce at 800 tonight which day this month he will announce his commitment. Tennessee and North Carolina are the other two on his list.

USC target CB Khyree Jackson of East Mississippi JC and Upper Marlboro, MD has not yet determined a new commitment date after canceling his plans for a July 11th reveal. He has been working with a top six of USC, Oregon, Florida, Oklahoma, Alabama and Kentucky. Jackson said he wanted more time to visit schools before making his decision. Jackson said he’s talking with USC weekly.

Two more in-state prospects announced their college decisions Thursday. WR Ahmari Higgins-Bruce dcommitted to Louisville and DE Jatius Geer of Belton-Honea Path committed to Syracuse. Unofficially, that’s 15 players from the state committed at this point to FBS programs.

Here are the other in-state commitments to FBS schools we have noted: Dorman RB Chance Black to Virginia Tech; West Florence CB Nyke Johnson to Virginia Tech; South Pointe WR O’Mega Blake to USC; Greer OT Jaydon Collins to Wake Forest; Sumter DE Justus Boone to Florida; Boiling Springs CB Caden Sullivan to Appalachian State; Myrtle Beach WR JJ Jones to North Carolina; Chapman LB Camden Gray to Navy; Strom Thurmond TE Brandon Johnson to Wake Forest; Chapin OL Thornton Gentry to NC State; Westside OT Jayden Ramsey to Appalachian State; River Bluff WR Kendall Long to Syracuse; and Lakewood SAF James Wright to East Carolina.

OL Charles Armstrong of Bradenton, FL, who was offered by USC, committed to Arizona State.

USC target OT Caleb Etienne of Butler County JC, KS was offered by Southern Miss.

Clemson offered 2022 four-star CB Jaheim Singletary (6-1 170) of Jacksonville, FL. He also has offers from USC, Florida, Florida State, LSU Oklahoma and Penn State among others. Last season he had 47 tackles and broke up 8 passes.

Fox Creek OT Nicholas Williams (6-5 300) was offered by NC State. Some of his other offers at this point are Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Coastal Carolina, Arkansas, Penn State, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

6-8 Kaleb Washington of Mableton, GA, who has a Clemson offer, was offered by Wake Forest.

Clemson target 6-6 Lucas Taylor of Wake Forest, NC was offered by Creighton.

Clemson target 6-7 SF Jordan Nesbitt of St. Louis received an offer from Maryland. He was also offered by Arkansas recently.
