
Noah Campbell continued his hot start in the Gamecocks 14-3 win over Presbyterian College at Founders Park, Wednesday. Campbell drove in four runs and stole two bases to spark South Carolina to its fourth consecutive win to start the season.
Campbell hit just .239 last season, but he’s been a dynamic force early on, scoring six runs and stealing seven bases in eight attempts. Defensive stalwart George Calil is also producing at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs in Wednesday’s victory.
Thomas Farr picked up the win, surrendering two runs in 4.2 innings.
The Gamecocks are back in action, Friday, playing host to Northwestern at 4 p.m. in Game 1 of a three-game series. Carmen Mlodzinski (1-0, 0.00 ERA) is slated for his second start.
