STRecruiting Notebook 6-25:  Jones moves up commitment date; South Carolina may add another defensive commitment Thursday afternoon; USC picks up RHP, and Clemson lands a catcher

One time Clemson target LB Sean Fox committed to Kentucky Thursday night at the Opening Finals.

South Carolina target SAF Davion Jones announced on Instagram this morning he has moved up his commitment date from July 26th to July 2nd.

South Carolina offered 2028 DE Tristian Henderson (6-4 225) of Pensacola, FL.

Clemson offered 2028 DL Dawson Jacobs (6-3 240) of Roswell, GA.

Clemson target 2028 LB Jay Schell of Rabun Gap, GA, was offered by Arkansas and Mississippi State.

South Carolina target 2028 CB Zion Dobson was offered by Tennessee.

Baseball News:

Free agent RHP Jordan Stephens (6-4 210) of Georgia is headed to South Carolina. In 18 innings this season, he was 1-0 with a 7.85 ERA.  He struck out 18 and walked 12.  In 2025, Stephens was 4-0 with three saves and a 3.92 ERA.  He struck out 27 and walked 19.

Clemson landed free agent catcher Isaac Cadena from Southern Cal. He hit .294 with 8 homers and 36 RBIs this season. He has also played for Ohio State and TCU.
