Clemson suffered a third narrow ACC road loss Saturday at Louisville falling to the Cardinals 56-55 when Marquise Reed’s floater in the lane was blocked in the final seconds.  The Tigers also have a two point loss at NC State and a one point loss at Miami on their record which drops to 15-10 overall

USC matched a school record with 16 three-three pointers and Chris Silva had 22 points and 14 rebounds for his 23rd career double-double, and the Gamecocks rallied in the second half for a 84-77 win over Texas A&M at Colonial Life Arena.  The Gamecocks improved their record to 13-12 overall and 8-4 in the SEC.

Clemson offered LB Noah Sewell (6-1 256) of Orem, UT, CB Elias Ricks (6-2 180) of Santa Ana, CA,  an LSU commitment and CB Clark Phillips III (5-11 178) of La Habra, CA.    

One of the state’s hottest recruits this month has been Cheraw WR Jalen Coit  (5-11 163).  This week alone he has added offers from Penn State, West Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky.  They joined other Power 5 offers from Duke, Kansas, Indiana, Purdue, Virginia, Wake Forest and Vanderbilt.  USC and Clemson, Coit said, have not showed
