STRecruiting Notebook 4-15: Major USC target headed elsewhere in the SEC; Clemson & USC basketball host free agents

South Carolina target DE Anthony Sweeney of Olney, MD committed to Texas Tech on Monday.

South Carolina target DT John Archer was offered by Auburn.

WR Iveon Lewis cited Virginia Tech and Kentucky as at the top of his list. He has officials with Georgia on May 15th, Virginia Tech on May 29th, South Carolina on June 5th, Maryland on June 12th, and Kentucky on June 19th. He has July 1st for a commitment date. (Rivals)

2028 DE Christian Webb-Scott of Westside visited Texas A&M over the weekend.

2029 QB Bear Woods of Westside visited Clemson on Monday.

Basketball News

TigerIllustrated reported 6-9 free agent Dylan Faulkner visited the Tigers over the weekend. Faulkner played at Samford this past season, averaging 17 points and nine rebounds per game. He played at Lipscomb the previous two seasons.

Free agent guard 6-4 Rowan Brumbaugh visited South Carolina on Monday. He played at Tulane this past two seasons and was at Georgetown before that. He started his career at Texas. He averaged 19 points and five rebounds per game this past season.

George Mason free agent forward Riley Allenspach, who had been linked to Clemson and South Carolina, committed/signed with Cincinnati.

Former Clemson forward Chauncey Wiggins is a free agent again after one season at Florida State. He averaged over 13 points per game this past season.
