Luke has consistently viewed Miller as a priority, being one of the few prospects in the trenches that Clemson has offered on the interior. Clemson is now on Miller’s summer schedule, with an official visit scheduled for May, solidifying the Tigers as a top contender.
Every time Miller has been on campus, it has been for a game or for Dabo Swinney’s high school camp over the summer. This time, the Texas native is hoping for a more personal visit, believing it can enhance his understanding of a program that he already holds in high regard.
“I really hope to just get a deeper look at the program and people there,” Miller said. “This will give me a chance to see everything, meet coaches and players, and hopefully see more of the town.”
One aspect of the visit he’s looking forward to is meeting Chad Morris in person for the first time. Clemson’s new offensive coordinator has been in contact with Miller and his family, but this visit will allow him to see Morris’ vision for the offense.
“It’s been great getting to know Coach Morris,” he explained. “We talk a lot, too, and he talks to my parents a lot. His offense is more familiar to what I’m used to, so I’m looking forward to seeing more of what his plan looks like.”
Miller has attended Arizona State’s junior day and has visits planned to Florida, Texas, and Texas Tech. Texas and Texas Tech have also solidified official visits, as has SMU. He also holds offers from the likes of Georgia Tech, Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Penn State, and Tennessee.
If you ask Miller, Clemson has always been one of his favorites, with Luke keeping the Tigers in the mix to land his services in the summer.
“Yes, they’ve always been a top contender,” Miller confessed. “It’s tough to say right now what it would take to get a commitment. Once I finish visits, I can take the information and make a decision.”
