STRecruiting: Who says all of the recruiting is done in December? Clemson adds DL McFadden on the eve of Signing Day

It may not have all the bells and whistles of the past, but Wednesday is still an important recruiting day in college football. So much so that Clemson is tuning up with a pair of 2026 commitments on Tuesday. DE Connor McFadden (6-5, 238) of Catawba Ridge announced a commitment to the Tigers on Tuesday.

McFadden joined wide receiver Keil McGriff in committing to the Tigers on Tuesday. He tallied seven sacks and 15 tackles for loss during his senior season. He chose the Tigers over offers from Catawba College and Delaware State.

McFadden is the 23rd high school recruit for the Tigers, and he gives them 34 recruited newcomers for the 2026 roster.
