On the same afternoon Clemson lost one of its top recruits in SAF Jordan Young to Michigan, the Tigers gained an offensive lineman who had been committed to Kentucky. OT Tucker Kattus (6-5 304) Sunday announced his change of plans from the Wildcats to the Tigers.
Kattus received his first offer from the Wildcats in the summer of 2021 and committed to them in March of this year. He took an official visit to UK in June. He has two brothers who play for the Wildcats.
Kattus apparently made the decision to commit to the Tigers without having visited. He did make unofficial visits earlier in the year to Missouri and Cincinnati. He also had offers from Missouri, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Purdue, Virginia Tech, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, Missouri, Duke, Michigan and Boston College.
Kattus is the fifth offensive linemen to commit to the Tigers and gives them 14 commitments in their 2025 class.
