#STRecruiting: #Gamecocks targets center Jimmy Bryson and OT Kevin Peay finalize their college plans

Jimmy Bryson

South Carolina made a strong push for OC Jimmy Bryson (6-3 280) of Chattanooga and OT Kewin Peay (6-4 305) of Lancaster despite both having been commited to Georgia Tech since June. The Gamecocks impressed both enough to give them pause about their decisions.

But Monday night, both players revealed they would be sticking with their commitments to the Yellow Jackets.

Bryson made an official visit to USC in early November. He also came in for an unofficial visit in early October. He said following both trips that USC head coach Shane Beamer and offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley made it clear he was a high priority for them.

Peay also made an official visit to USC for the Missouri weekend and was intrigued by Beamer’s pitch to join other top recruits in the state by staying home and playing for the Gamecocks.

However, both players always maintained their commiments to Georgia Tech despite visiting South Carolina and entertaining other offers, and Monday night they both shut down their recruiting activities with plans to be teammates in downtown Atlanta.
