USC has hit their off week with a 2-3 record following Saturday night’s loss at Tennessee. All three losses occurred away from Columbia and to teams with a combined record of 18-5. Those points were cited by Shane Beamer during his Sunday night call with the media, and he wasn’t trying to make excuses but rather emphasizing the difficulty of the schedule in the opening month of the season (strength of schedule ranked #9 thus far).
Beamer said no one in his organization is happy at 2-3 and that’s not where they expected to be. He plans to practice his guys Monday through Wednesday then give them a break for the rest of the week. They will reconvene Sunday and turn their attention to Florida.
Beamer’s current head coaching record is worse then what Will Muschamp’s was at this point in both their 3rd year. FACTS
Beamer is sub. 500 in SEC wins. thats why the majority of our best players transferred out (Bell, Lloyd, Stogner, Burch and Edmond)
