USC quarterback Spencer Rattler has been on a tear throwing the football over the last seven games, and it all started last November in the game against Tennessee in Columbia. That night Rattler completed 30 of 37 passes for 438 yards and six touchdowns. Over his next six games Rattler completed 149 of 213 passes (70%) for 1848 yards (average of 308 per game), 11 touchdowns and five interceptions.
Saturday night Rattler faces Tennessee in Knoxville with the Gamecocks 12-point underdogs. The Gamecocks showed an improved running game in the win over Mississippi State last week, but to pull off a second straight upset of the Vols (22.5-point underdogs last season), they will need another high-level performance from their QB.
Earlier this week Rattler took questions from the media about the upcoming trip Rocky Top.
