Cade Klubnik did practically all he could to lead Clemson to a win over Florida State last Saturday in Death Valley. Unfortunately, his best outing as the Tigers’ starting quarterback was overshadowed by his fumble on a blind sack that turned into a scoop and score, and his bad read and pass off an RPO late in the game that should have been a straight handoff likely for a first down.
Klubnik is continuing to grow into the job as the Clemson quarterback in a new offense. Next up will be Syracuse which is 4-0 but with a schedule rank to this point of 115. However, the Orange have played the Tigers tough despite a five-game losing streak in the series. Three of the losses were by six points of less. Last season the Orange owned a 14-point lead before Klubnik came in off the bench and led a 17-point fourth quarter rally.
This week Klubnik took questions from the media about the loss to FSU and this week’s game, beginning with his take on his performance against Florida State.
