The USC men’s basketball team opened SEC play Tuesday night with an overtime loss at Vanderbilt. The Gamecocks held a small lead for much of the second half, but needed a Hayden Brown put back at the buzzer to force overtime. They eventually lost by five.
The Gamecocks will host 8th ranked Tennessee Saturday afternoon. The Vols are 12-2 and coming off a 34-point win over Mississippi State. Rick Barnes has another deep and talented team which will compete for the SEC Championship and likely make a run in the NCAA Tournament.
Following practice Thursday, Paris met with the media to review the Vandy loss and look ahead to UT.
