USC outscored Auburn 26-7 in the first quarter, and the top-ranked Gamecocks continued to build their lead from there until it reached 54 points. They settled for a 52-point win over the Tigers 94-42 Thursday night before a crowd of 11,552 at the Colonial Life Arena.
The Gamecocks shot 63% for the game while holding Auburn to 29%. USC, per usual, had the big advantage inside outscoring Auburn in the paint 50-22.
One of their bigs, Kamilla Cardoso, led USC in scoring with 16 points off the bench as she hit 6-7 shots from the floor. Aliyah Boston, who did not have big statistical nights the last two games, responded with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks.
The Gamecocks are 15-0 and 3-0 in the SEC and will play at Mississippi State Sunday.
